Terms and conditions

Last updated October 28, 2026

These terms cover supercitation.com, the audits we run, and the work we sell. They form a binding agreement between you and Supercitation.

By using supercitation.com, requesting an audit or buying, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site, request an audit or buy.

1. Who we are, and what these terms cover

Supercitation is a business based in Washington, D.C. In these terms, “Supercitation”, “we” and “us” mean Supercitation. “You” means the person who uses our site, requests an audit or buys from us, and the business they act for. If you act for a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind it. “Your materials” means your trademarks, logos, product, website, copy, images and other brand assets.

We sell to businesses only. By requesting an audit or buying, you confirm that you are at least 18 and acting for a business, not as a consumer.

These terms cover:

  • supercitation.com, including our blog and example audits

  • every audit we run for you or about your company

  • every plan you buy, and everything we make and publish for it

If we sign a separate written agreement with you, that agreement wins where it conflicts with these terms.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. You can read it at supercitation.com/privacy.

You can reach us at info@supercitation.com.

2. What we sell

We sell one thing: a plan that fixes what AI engines such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity say about your company, at the sources they read (the “work”). Your audit page and checkout list what your plan includes, and that list, as it stood when you paid, controls. The questions and answers elsewhere on our site are summaries, and these terms control over them.

The work usually includes:

  • a day-0 record of what the AI engines say about you, checked against your own website

  • one paragraph about your company, written from your own site, for you to approve

  • listings on directories and data sites, each saying the same thing about you

  • correction requests to pages that describe you wrongly, and outreach to the pages AI engines cite

  • a short film about you on YouTube, made from your website

  • a brief your team can load into AI assistants

  • a day-30 record of the same questions, next to the day-0 answers

SCDB page. If you add one, we also publish a public page about your company at supercitation.com/db, built from the paragraph you approved.

We work from public information and the permission you give us. We do not need access to your website, your accounts or your systems. We do not write fake reviews, post as fans or customers, or send spam in your name.

Anything not listed on your audit page or at checkout is not part of your plan. If we agree to do other work, these terms apply unless we agree otherwise in writing, including by email.

3. Audits

What an audit is. An audit records what AI engines said when we asked them about your company, checks those answers against your own website, and checks whether AI crawlers can read your site. It lives on a page at an unlisted link.

Requesting an audit. You can request one through supercitation.com with your website and work email. Only request an audit of a website you own or are authorized to represent. We may decline any request, and we run audits as our availability allows. Any time we give for an audit is an estimate.

No obligation. Audits are free. We do not ask for payment details to run one, and requesting or receiving an audit does not oblige you to buy.

Audits we run on our own. We sometimes audit a company’s public website and AI answers without being asked, to show that company what we found. We send the result only to people at that company, and we take it down on request. We show an audit as an example on our site only with that company’s permission, or when the company is our own.

The link. Anyone who has an audit’s link can open it, so share it only with people who need to see it.

Removal. We may change or remove an audit at any time, and we will take one down if you ask at info@supercitation.com.

4. Buying and paying

Who may buy. You may buy only for a website you own or are authorized to represent.

Price and term. The price, how you are billed and the length of your plan are shown on your audit page and at checkout, in US dollars. A plan runs for a fixed term, such as 6 months, and you agree to pay for the whole term.

Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment processor, and Stripe’s own terms apply to the payment. We never see or store your full card details.

Taxes. Prices do not include taxes. If a sales, use, value added or similar tax applies to your purchase, you pay it. Where we are required to collect it, we add it at checkout or invoice you for it. We pay the taxes on our own income.

When your plan starts. Your plan starts when your first payment is confirmed. Within 5 business days of that payment, we may cancel your plan if the price shown was wrong, the payment appears fraudulent, or we cannot lawfully do the work. If we cancel, we refund you in full.

Invoices. If we agree in writing to invoice you instead, the invoice sets the due date.

Special prices. A discount or special price applies only to the plan we agreed it for.

Missed payments. If a payment fails and is not made good within 14 days, we may pause the work until it is.

Disputed charges. Please email us before you dispute a charge with your bank, and we will work it out with you.

5. How the work runs

Day 0. Once your plan starts, we ask the AI engines our questions about you and record their answers. That record is the starting point for the day-30 comparison.

Your approval. We write one paragraph about your company from your own website and send it to you. We publish it only after you approve it, and we use the approved version everywhere it goes.

The work. We list you, request corrections and contact publishers as your plan describes, and we keep a log of everything we send and publish. Other companies decide whether to accept a listing or make a correction, and some take weeks.

Day 30. Around 30 days after your plan starts, we ask the same questions to the same AI engines and show every answer next to its day-0 version. The work then continues for the rest of your term as your plan describes.

Your part. Approve your paragraph, and click the verification emails some directories send. Some sites, such as G2 and Capterra, want someone with a company email address to confirm.

6. Changes and corrections

Your paragraph. You can ask us to change your approved paragraph at any time during your plan, for example when a price or product changes. We update it wherever we can still edit what we published.

Mistakes. If something we published about you is wrong, tell us at info@supercitation.com and we will correct it where we can, at no charge.

What we cannot change. Once another company accepts a listing or a correction, it controls that page. We will ask it to update the page when you need us to, but we cannot promise it will.

Your film. We make one round of changes to the words on screen and the colors in your film, if you ask within 30 days of receiving it.

7. Who owns the work

What is yours stays yours. Your materials remain yours.

What becomes yours. The paragraph, staff brief and other text we write for you, and the film we make for you, are yours to use for any lawful purpose once you have paid for the month in which we made them. That includes your website, sales material and advertising. You may edit and translate them.

Listings and profiles. Listings and profiles we create live on other companies’ platforms, under those platforms’ terms. Where a platform allows it, we create them in your company’s name, and when your plan ends we hand over any access we hold.

What stays live. What we publish for you stays live when your plan ends, unless you ask us to take something down or the platform removes it.

Our tools and methods. We keep the methods, tools, questions, templates and working files we use across our work. Where any of them appear in what we give you, you may use them as part of that work.

Showing your work. We will not show your audit, name or logo as an example of our work, or publish your results, without your written permission.

8. Cancelling and refunds

If we cannot start. If we cannot start the work within 5 business days of your first payment, you may cancel and we will refund you in full.

If we cancel. If we cancel your plan as Section 4 describes, we refund you in full. If we stop the work for any other reason before your term ends, we refund the payments for the months we did not work.

Other payments. Apart from those cases, a payment is not refundable once the month it pays for has started. Nothing in these terms takes away a refund right that the law gives you and does not allow a business to exclude.

When your term ends. Your checkout shows whether your plan renews when its term ends. If it does, you can cancel the renewal at any time by emailing info@supercitation.com, and it stops before the next payment.

9. What we need from you

Permission to act for you. You authorize us to describe your company, submit your public information and approved paragraph to directories and data sites, request corrections, and contact publishers about your company, as your plan describes.

True information. You confirm that what you approve, and everything you send us, is true, current and yours to publish. We rely on your website and your approval, and we do not independently verify your claims.

Your rights in what we use. You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, everything on your website and everything you send us, for the uses these terms describe. That includes customer logos, testimonials, photos, and the names and images of any person.

Keeping us up to date. Tell us when something important changes, such as your name, prices or products, so we can update what we publish.

What we may decline. We may decline to publish a claim, or leave out a line, if we reasonably believe it is misleading, unlawful or infringes someone else’s rights. If we do, we will tell you why.

10. AI answers, examples and third-party names

AI answers change. AI engines answer differently from run to run, by location and as their models update. An audit records what they said when we asked, from the United States. It does not predict what they will say next time.

Our opinion. Grades, scores, comparisons and estimates in an audit or on our site are our opinion, given for general information. They do not measure or predict your results.

Third-party names. Supercitation is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or partnered with OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Perplexity or any other company, platform or product named on our site or in our work. Names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners.

Articles. Our blog and guides are general information. They are not legal, financial or professional advice, and the platforms they describe may have changed since publication.

Rights holders. If you believe something on our site uses your rights without permission, email info@supercitation.com with the page and the details. We will review it promptly and remove it where appropriate.

11. Using our site

You may use supercitation.com to learn about us, read our articles and request an audit. When you use it, you agree not to:

  • give false details, or request an audit of a website you do not represent

  • try to open audit pages that were not shared with you

  • copy, scrape or republish the site or its audits for commercial purposes

  • interfere with the site, its security or other people’s use of it

The site’s text and design are protected by intellectual property rights held by us or by others. Apart from the uses these terms allow, you need permission to reuse them.

12. Confidentiality

Each of us will keep the other’s non-public information confidential and use it only for the work between us. For you, that includes your unreleased products, your plans and anything you tell us in confidence. For us, that includes our methods, questions and working files.

This does not apply to information that is already public, that the other party already had or develops independently, or that the law requires to be disclosed. Publishing what your plan describes, and keeping audits at unlisted links as Section 3 describes, is not a breach.

13. What we promise, and what we do not

Our promise. We will do the work with reasonable skill and care, as your plan describes. If we fall short, your only remedies are the corrections and refunds described in Sections 6 and 8.

No promise of results. AI engines, search engines, directories and publishers make their own decisions, and we do not control them. We do not guarantee what any AI engine says about you, that any listing or correction is accepted, or any ranking, citation, traffic, lead, sale or other business result.

No other warranties. Apart from the promises in these terms, the site, audits and work are provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all other warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Not advice. Nothing we deliver or write is legal, tax, financial or other professional advice.

Your accounts. We do not run your website or your social accounts, and we do not change your systems.

14. Limits on our liability

The cap. Our total liability for all claims connected with these terms, our site, audits or your plan is limited to the amount you paid us in the 6 months before the claim. If you have paid us nothing, as with a free audit, it is limited to $100.

Excluded losses. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, even if we were told they were possible.

What these limits do not cover. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as liability for fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct.

15. Claims about your content

If someone makes a claim against us because of your materials, your website, information you approved or sent us, or your breach of these terms, you will defend us and cover the resulting losses, costs and reasonable legal fees. This does not cover a claim to the extent it arises from something we added.

We will tell you about the claim promptly, let you control the defense, and help where reasonable. You may not settle a claim in a way that admits fault for us or requires us to act without our written consent.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms, and any dispute about them or our work, are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to its conflict of law rules.

Before either of us starts legal proceedings, email the other with the problem and allow 30 days to resolve it.

If it is not resolved, the dispute must be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Washington, D.C., and both of us agree to their jurisdiction. Either of us may still ask any court for urgent relief to protect confidential information or intellectual property.

17. Changes to these terms, and contact

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the latest change. The version that applies to your plan is the one posted on the day you first paid, and later changes do not affect it unless you agree. We keep every earlier version and will send you the one that applies to your plan if you ask.

Contact:

  • Email: info@supercitation.com

  • Supercitation, Washington, D.C.

We aim to reply within one business day.

18. Other terms

  • Whole agreement. These terms, your plan at checkout and anything else we agree in writing, including by email, are the whole agreement between us about the work. They replace anything said earlier on calls or in messages that we did not agree in writing. Answers and descriptions elsewhere on our site, such as FAQs, are summaries, and these terms control if they differ.

  • Severability. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force, and that part applies as far as the law allows.

  • Transfer. You may not transfer these terms without our written agreement, except to a business that takes over yours. We may transfer them to a business that takes over Supercitation, including a company we form to run it, and we will tell you if we do.

  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a term once, we can still enforce it later.

  • Events outside our control. Neither of us is liable for a delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as an outage at a hosting provider, payment processor or AI engine. This does not affect any refund owed under these terms.

  • Independent businesses. Nothing in these terms makes either of us the other’s partner, employee or agent.

  • Notices. We may send notices to the email address you gave us, and you may send them to info@supercitation.com. Email counts as writing.

  • What continues. The parts of these terms that by their nature should continue after a plan ends continue, including ownership, confidentiality, limits on liability, claims about your content and governing law.
